The Caldwell Lead Sled MAX Green Modular Shooting Rest is the most modular current Lead Sled configuration, converting between a recoil-reducing full-length rest and a front-rest setup. A removable two-gallon reservoir can be filled with water, sand, gravel, or other media, and Caldwell rates the system for up to 95% felt recoil reduction.
The sliding frame adjusts for firearm length and folds for storage, while the clamping front head, large elevation wheel, and backlash-free rear windage/elevation controls support fine sight alignment. The modular format is useful for shooters who want one rest to cover heavy-recoil sight-in work as well as conventional bench support. Browse more shooting supports.
- Recoil-reducing platform helps the shooter concentrate on sight picture and trigger press instead of anticipating heavy kick
- Full-length firearm support creates a more repeatable bench position between groups
- Adjustable controls make sight-in changes without shifting bags or rebuilding the rest position
- Removable or user-added ballast keeps transport more manageable than a permanently weighted rest
