The CJRB Maileah has a 2.38-inch black PVD coated AR-RPM9 stainless wharncliffe blade, a black G10 handle, a thumb stud and a pocket clip, closing to 3.13 inches.
A wharncliffe runs the spine straight to a point that meets a dead-straight edge, so the whole edge stays in contact with the material and the tip goes exactly where it is put. That makes it precise for detail work and awkward for anything needing a curved belly, which is the trade the shape makes.
AR-RPM9 is Artisan’s powder steel, pressed from steel powder rather than cast, giving a finer and more even grain that sharpens predictably. PVD is vapor-deposited and bonded into the steel surface rather than painted on, so it resists wear far better than a surface finish. Explore more Modern EDC Linerlocks.
