The Digital Yacht Wi-Fi Booster is the external high-power Wi-Fi kit for Digital Yacht’s 4GXtream LTE internet system. It connects to the 4GXtream’s WAN port to pick up shoreside Wi-Fi hotspots from farther away. The 4GXtream then acts as the router, letting you switch between Wi-Fi and LTE.
The 4GXtream is a premium cellular system with Cat 6 LTE MIMO technology and two high-gain antennas, with range up to 25 nautical miles offshore depending on the network. It has dual SIM slots with auto failover, built-in GPS and an NMEA 2000 interface. Dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi shares the connection and the boat’s navigation data.
Adding the booster gives you a low-cost way to use marina Wi-Fi instead of cellular data in port. It’s well suited to large yachts, workboats and commercial vessels.
