Outdoor Traditional Barrel Sauna
Golden Designs Klosters 6-Person Traditional Barrel Sauna
The Klosters is the largest barrel Golden Designs publish in this range and the only one that arrives with an 8.0 kW stove as standard. Assembled, it runs 84 inches wide, 91 inches deep and 84 inches high, with an interior of 78 by 83 by 78 inches and a six person capacity.
The material specification matches the smaller barrels — Pacific Premium Cedar, a bronze privacy tempered glass door, a backrest with its own accent light — applied to a longer cabin. Golden Designs list it for outdoor use.

The Big Barrel, And What Changes With Size
Stretching the cabin to 91 inches of depth changes two things on the spec sheet — the seating and the stove. The wood and the door stay exactly as they are on the smaller models.

The Golden Designs Barrel Range
The Top Of The Barrel Range
The four barrels are built to one material specification and separate on depth, height and stove. The Klosters is the only one Golden Designs give an 8.0 kW stove as standard, and the only one with more than four seats.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Golden Designs specify a 6 person capacity. The assembled interior is 78″ W × 83″ D × 78″ H inside an exterior of 84″ W × 91″ D × 84″ H. Golden Designs publish no bench dimensions for the barrel range, so we quote none and make no seating-layout claim beyond their capacity figure. An 8.0 kW stove with built-in controls, and it is the only stove Golden Designs list for this model — there is no 6 kW version and no upgrade option on the Klosters. Golden Designs name no stove brand and no model line on their barrel saunas, so none is claimed here.Golden Designs never state that stones are included. Stones are mentioned once in their Klosters data, in the shipping weight, which reads 795 lbs with Stove & Stones / 715 lbs without Stove & Stones. We reproduce that line and stop there. Ask us to confirm the stone supply in writing before you order.240V / 40AMP for the stove and 120V / 15AMP for the control and lights. Because there is a single stove specification on the Klosters, there is a single circuit rating to plan for — unlike the smaller barrels, where the 6 kW and 8 kW options need different breakers. Golden Designs ask that you consult a certified electrician, and Recovery For Athletes recommends the same for a hardwired 240V appliance.Golden Designs give 170°F to 185°F as the ideal range for the traditional stove and state the sauna can heat up to 190°F.Pacific Premium Cedar wood construction, listed by Golden Designs for outdoor use. Their warranty text sets the expectations: surface cracks are a normal characteristic of all woods and are not treated as defects, and water seepage will not hurt the wood — described as a normal tendency of outdoor application, with the water usually drying quickly in the heated environment. Golden Designs also state that a barrel kept completely dry needs to be installed under a covered structure, and their warranty excludes outdoor applications not protected safely from the weather, including the glass door.Assembled it takes 84″ × 91″ of ground at 84″ high and 548 lbs. It ships in 3 boxes, crated at 44″ × 93″ × 39″ with the stove or 44″ × 93″ × 26″ without. The 44-inch face is the one that matters for a gate or a side return, and the 93-inch length is the one that matters for corners.Recovery For Athletes delivers free to the kerb by freight across the 48 contiguous states, delivery damage insurance included free. Golden Designs do not publish this offer — we do. The freight carrier contacts you 24 to 48 hours ahead to set a day and time Monday through Friday inside a 4-hour window. The boxes arrive strapped to a pallet on a 53-foot semi-truck, and Golden Designs are explicit that the single driver unloads the pallet only to your curbside or the end of your driveway. Flag a difficult approach to us before it leaves — a long or narrow driveway, low branches, steps, a shared building entrance. Golden Designs ask you to inspect the boxes immediately on unloading and to note any scratches, indentations or scuff marks on the delivery receipt; you do not need to open the boxes to do that, and they offer no damage window after the driver leaves. Refuse the delivery if you see a large hole. This is the heaviest barrel in the range on the pallet, so arrange help and a plan for moving it before delivery day. Golden Designs currently show the Klosters as out of stock at their end, so ask us to confirm stock and a shipping date before you order.Golden Designs cover the wood structure for 5 years when properly maintained, along with the control panel, its harnesses and the lights. The stove is excluded from Golden Designs’ cover and falls under its own manufacturer’s warranty — worth knowing, because it is the most expensive component in the crate. The warranty covers parts and does not cover labour, and full commercial use voids it. Recovery For Athletes is an authorized Golden Designs dealer. Full terms are in the Warranty tab.Golden Designs state that their saunas are designed and developed at their California headquarters and that they work directly with manufacturers to produce their own line. No country of manufacture is published for this model, so none is claimed. Ask us and we will put the question to them for you.
