XPERIENCE Series Indoor Sauna

SaunaLife X6 4-Person Traditional Indoor Sauna

Four seats, a clear glass front, and only 51 inches of depth. The X6 takes less floor than either of the other indoor SaunaLife cabins Recovery For Athletes carries, which is what makes it the one that fits a bathroom, a basement corner or the end of a spare room. Inside it runs 67-1/4 inches wide by 44-1/2 deep, with 77-1/2 inches from floor to ceiling.

Outside, SaunaLife lists 77 inches wide by 51 deep by 79 high, and notes that the figure takes in eaves that can be modified. Wall panels are premium Nordic Spruce at 1.5 inches. Benches and backrests are grade-A Aspen with no knots, bench tops 1.1 inches thick. The whole cabin weighs 595.25 lbs and ships flat in a crate 87 by 40 by 27 inches.

The Build

Four Things The Spec Sheet Settles

An indoor cabin is judged on what it is made of and how it behaves in a finished room. Four entries on the X6 list answer most of that: the glass front, the wall panels, the bench stock and the two fittings that go around the heat.

?A Clear Glass FrontGlass style on the X6 is clear. The kit supplies a full front glass view at 5/16 inch and a tempered clear glass door at the same thickness, listed on the spec sheet as 8mm tempered. Door opening is 27 inches wide by 66.5 high, with a 12-inch window at the same height.Door 27″ × 66.5″?Panels At An Inch And A HalfWall and ceiling material is Nordic Spruce, and the panels are specified at 1.5 inches thick. The window, door and ceiling elements arrive prefabricated, with fasteners and an assembly kit packed alongside them.1.5″ Wall Panels?Grade-A Aspen, No KnotsBenches are grade-A Aspen with 1.1-inch tops and no knots, and the backrests are grade-A Aspen specified the same way. Bench supports ship with them. The spec sheet gives bench material as knotless Aspen.1.1″ Bench Tops?️Exhaust Valve And Heater GuardTwo items on the list deal with the heat itself: an air exhaust valve for the cabin, and a heater guard that pens off whichever heater you install. Both are supplied. The heater is not on the list. Both In The Kit

A Closer Look At The X6

Installed Indoors

A Glass Front In A Finished Room

Here is the X6 on a slate floor against a plain wall, lit from inside. The front is glass across its width: a full front glass view either side of a tempered clear glass door, both 5/16 inch, hung with a premium handle in stainless steel and wood measuring 20 inches long on a 1.2-inch diameter. Glass style on the spec sheet is clear, so the cabin reads as part of the room it stands in.

  • Full front glass view, 5/16″ thick
  • Tempered clear glass door, 27″W × 66.5″H
  • Window 12″W × 66.5″H
  • Premium stainless steel and wood handle, 20″L × 1.2″ diameter

Grade-A Aspen On Two Levels

An upper bench runs the back wall under a slatted backrest, and a lower bench steps down and turns the corner toward the door. SaunaLife specifies grade-A Aspen for both, with bench tops at 1.1 inches and no knots in either the tops or the backrests. Bench supports carry the load and come in the same crate.

  • Bench tops grade-A Aspen, 1.1″, no knots
  • Backrests grade-A Aspen, no knots
  • Bench supports included
  • Interior 67-1/4″W × 44-1/2″L × 77-1/2″H

The Corner The Heater Sits In

This frame shows the cabin set up and running, with a floor-standing heater against the wall by the door and a wooden guard rail penned around it. The guard is on the X6’s included-items list. The heater in the photograph is bought separately, from the packages offered above the Add to Cart button on this page.

  • Heater guard included in the kit
  • Heater purchased separately
  • Air exhaust valve supplied
  • Interior height 77-1/2″

Finished On Every Elevation

The back of the cabin is a plain run of Nordic Spruce panelling with a moulded cap along the top and a base rail below — the same premium 1.5-inch panels used on the rest of the shell. That matters more indoors than out, because an X6 dropped into the middle of a basement or a large bathroom is seen from more than one side.

  • Premium Nordic Spruce wall panels, 1.5″ thick
  • Prefabricated window, door and ceiling elements
  • Exterior 77″W × 51″L × 79″H including modifiable eaves
  • Fasteners, assembly kit and installation instructions supplied

The Indoor Lineup

Three Indoor Sizes

Three SaunaLife indoor cabins sit on this site, and the choice between them comes down to how much room you can give up. The X6 asks for the least: 77 by 51 inches, four seats.
