The Surefire X300 Ultra gives 1,000 lumens in black, fitting Picatinny and universal rails on two CR123A cells.
The A version uses the rail-lock lever attachment, which clamps and releases in one movement rather than needing a thumbscrew turned down. For a light that moves between a handgun and a long gun, that difference is worth the extra cost. For a light that gets fitted once and left, it is not.
At 1,000 lumens the Ultra is the output model, throwing a wide bright beam that lights a room rather than reaching to distance the way the Turbo does. Two CR123A cells hold voltage in cold and store for years, and they remain standard on weapon lights despite the cost per cell. Explore more weapon lights.
