The T-H Marine Kayak Anchor Kit includes a 1.5 lb folding grappling anchor, 30 feet of 3/16 inch nylon line and a 1/4 inch anchor shackle. It’s sized for kayaks and other small paddle craft. The kit is easy to deploy and just as easy to stow. Grapnel anchors hold well around rocks and structure, where anglers often want to stop.
The anchor has four flukes, which gives it good holding power for its weight. Folded, the flukes close against the shank so the anchor fits in a crate or hatch. Opened, they catch on rock, weed and debris on the bottom. Nylon line is strong, light and easy to handle.
The 1/4 inch shackle connects the line to the anchor securely. Thirty feet of line gives proper scope in water up to about 10 feet deep using the common 3 to 1 ratio. An anchor trolley on the kayak lets you set the anchor from the bow or stern. Browse more boat anchors.
