The Veratron Dual Station Rudder Angle Sensor measures rudder position for two gauges at once. It reads from 45 degrees port through center to 45 degrees starboard. That makes it a fit for boats with a flybridge and lower helm.
The sensor outputs an analog signal of 1.5 to 90 ohms to each of two gauges. It runs on 6 to 24 volts DC and uses a 2-wire insulated return system. An insulated return helps avoid ground-related reading errors.
A rudder angle gauge shows exactly where the rudder is pointed before you throw the boat in gear. That’s especially helpful when docking with twin helms.
